round n round we go....

recent events have been unimaginable.

unimaginable that the small spider web which is quite insignificant has grown so big.....

first it hits me... causing my horse selections to go haywire... which in another clear cut display on sunday, i strike 1 - 3, 2 - 3, 1 - 4, 3 - 4 orders except 1 - 2 for FT bets...

then i hit 1 - 2 - 4 twice for TCE bets....

and finally i got the 1 - 2 - 3 for a TCE bet only to find that my order differs from wat is posted in the singapore turf website....

and i tot this is bad.... how little do i know abt this invisible spider spinning the web of confusion...

my team worked for 3 yrs to see the project going live last sunday and to our amazement (is there such a word, or am i so blur now...), it fall short of bombed, holes just keep appearing....

and it seems like the ship is sinking...

am i the captain of this boat? or am i the first mate?

i'm just as blur as you reading this confuse piece of blog....

this just dont make sense....

there's simply not enuff time to go around

hit by the fact again that there's simply not enuff time..... ya ya, i know that most ppe will say time management or proper planning or blah blah blah....

but STOP!

the fact remains that we only have 24 hours and that wont changed be it that we practice faithfully time management or watever shit.

these 24 hours are further reduced by

sleep 6 hours (which is olredi the bare minimum)
work 9 hours
bathing/shitting/changing of clothes for work 1 hour (which obviously includes reading the money and sports section of the newspaper)
travelling to work 1 hour
time wasted by been early and leaving later from work 1 hour (which the employer shd just states in the employment contract that the offical working hr is 10 hours, coz we expect u to be at least 15 mins earlier for work, and also we expect u to be committed, which translated into not leaving on the dot)
and as a result, we are left with 7 hours
which are for the followings
dinner 1 hour
travelling for dinner and back home 1 hour
bathing/brushing/and more shitting 1 hour (which includes reading the other section of the newspaper....)
and we are left with 4 hours for
1) time with family (which includes my girl fren)
2) time with fren (of course we are toking abt the good frens and the racing kakis)
3) time for my PS2 (essential to relieve the stress at work)
4) time for self reflection (essential to become a better man, ha ha)
5) time for light reading (essential to have more imagination and creativity)
6) time for some artistic drawing (essential to put the imagination and creativity to test)
7) time for TV (need to keep up with the rest of the world)
8) time for music (essential to maintain the balance within myself)
9) time for punter's way (my second job.... need i say more)

therefore wat i gathered here is 4 hours for 9 activities....that's a really serious lack of time....

what can i do........

ups and downs...u just can't run away from it

yup, the all too familiar ups and downs in life applies to horse racing too

friday nite was okay but could have been better...if only

if only i'm not so lazy to get the STC auntie to change the wrongly placed FT to TCE... $53 not a big sum of money but it could at least offset the BLC incurred during sunday....

well, looking forward, is to get over such laziness, plus superstitous, so to achieve a good result on every race day.

easier said than done, which requires a very strong willpower to concentrate and focus on the guide.

strangely, nowadays i tend to write in bits n pieces, just couldnt managed to link wat's in the mind and translate it into words and phrases.. must be the mental drain... i need a break!

guess there's too many reservations about too many stuff in life, and it is draining precious brain power, and causing it to work on less resources although the expected output are increasing as days go by.....

this is a state of confusion
this is where one loses oneself in the search of fulfillment
this is the start of the end
if only one can snap out of the web
and walk up with spring in every step.......

it's a ordinary life after all

it is a friday
another couple of hours to friday nite racing in kranji
and the skies don't look good at all

light shower during the noon time
makes us worried about the later conditions

just placed my bets for the nite
selections made mostly on good ground
and if skies pour
i'll be heading for another BLC.....

but watever it is
i determined to enjoy this friday nite
not by waiting for the race result
but to the west side to do some predatory activities.... prawn fishing!!!

beneath the dust, lies a pot of gold

well, must admit have not been successful in FT bets recently.. on hindsight, would have been better if revert back to WIN/PLACE bet, but hey, i will be no different from the ah peks and the uncles if i do that.

so once again, i will battle on....

fri 20/8/04 sin mixed racing

first race, which is the race i wanna strike the most. a good start will brings a good ending, ha ha ha! so here we go...

star dane, the sand horse that can finished top three but not able to win, this filly will be the first name i put to my list. will have to drop gutsy star and java prince and go for sandslash.

race two, too little numbers in the field, will be supporting the ultra consistent sand horse, titan bliss, on the back of a eleven length win in a similar distance race two weeks ago. next will be el marroqui with geroudis on board. it seems like finally geroudis is back on form. as for p gatt, he came to kranji with a big reputation but is becoming a major flop after winning nothing for weeks despite getting the ride from potential winner horses.... good luck mate!

for the third race, my pal, mike had innocently selected yaakeen, which to me, is not a bad choice, somemore with waddell on board. sargasso has always been around the top three, so not surprising, i will put it into my FT selection. as for the third horse, it should be a tie between montoya, drive straight in and road house. p gatt on gutsy warrior may just finished fourth.

race four is the one with many contenders, so i will skip.

race five is another fibresand event with hommono standing out from the rest. with patton, i should see the chance as very good. truly bold is a horse that punter's way and tnp mentioned cannot be ignored in a fibresand event, so it will be included in my exotic bet (ha ha ha, i'm actually using the term "exotic", just like steve and max on track talk, ha ha ha). both bright wonder and smiliing forever have shown potential, and it will be wise to include them.

the sixth race in the day's program. no doubt it will be fifth general to grab the honour. will be trying for a upset in beasley (my gal's favourite jockey).

vorster to do a back to back in race seven!

and the last event of the day...very tired olredi...so maybe just a token bet on keegan and mirage.

sure is friction

sure is a powerful word
sure is almost a guaranteed prediction
however there is no such thing as sure in punting
there are simply too many variables in horse racing for sure to exist...

love of my life

though I may appear to be a hardcore punter
to some they may even see me as a die hard gambler
but be it punting or gambling
they are not my everything

to me there can only be one
the love of my life
not the horse that makes me blc with lots of money
but the woman who makes me blc with the wonderful feelings
anyday and everyday
i'm on top of the world
and she is the one who serves this magical dish
my girlfren and life partner
alicia

green green grass of kranji or is it?

this is the weekend.

i wish that it comes earlier today.

however i may wish that to relive it again next week.

but whatever it is.

this is the plan.

sat sin over clc

total 8 races, most of the races small field... my instinct tell me to skip the race and spend the time worthwhile with my love, but the punter instinct is calling out to me.....

and it says..... "dont back off, you are a natural born punter, you are the legendary forecast king, the harder the race, you should spend more time and focus on it, and beat it"

So, may the HORSE KING SPIRIT be with me, for one time too many i'm responding to the calling, let me live and dont let me die, for i want to break the bank of the operators and be an example for my fellow punters to emulate!

first race i noticed that none of the leading trainers are participating, and this is good. time for the rest to make a living. i'm counting on my favourite young malaysian jockey to show me the way for the rest of the day, WK YAN!

but i am the LFTK (stands for Legendary ForeCast King), so WIN PLACE bet are not my destiny, and it will be FT banker on royal pacific and hit on south pacific plus fear factor and buffy.

this is the plan!

if you happened to come across my blog, and reading this, and follow my bets, and win some money (in fact, it will be a lots of money, for i dont like small payout), this may interest you (as if i care, i'm just too ego to list my selection here, for the sake of HERO GLORY on saturday to my girlfren, ha ha)

second race of the day, hope (ops, should be knowing, not hoping) i already make a killing, and it will be no turning back, no calling it a day, no no, it will be ALL THE WAY, THE PUNTER's WAY!

sh lee, the vetern malaysian jockey shall make his country proud, and emulate his younger, much younger in fact, counterpart, to snatch glory from the arrogant Singaporean jockey (for the record sake, i'm a true WHITE and RED, or is it RED and WHITE...huh....hmmm.... Whatever, a true blue singaporean spurs fan!). caldecott hill! and grey cardinal. (again, a super outsider selection)

well, that's all for now... till i can squeeze more time from the office work to continue this ego piece here....

it aint all about winnings

i used to be an ordinary punter.

till i found the Way of the Punter.

now i am still an ordinary punter.

but i have lots of reasons and excuses if i BLC in a race day.

and that's the difference.
