beneath the dust, lies a pot of gold

well, must admit have not been successful in FT bets recently.. on hindsight, would have been better if revert back to WIN/PLACE bet, but hey, i will be no different from the ah peks and the uncles if i do that.

so once again, i will battle on....

fri 20/8/04 sin mixed racing

first race, which is the race i wanna strike the most. a good start will brings a good ending, ha ha ha! so here we go...

star dane, the sand horse that can finished top three but not able to win, this filly will be the first name i put to my list. will have to drop gutsy star and java prince and go for sandslash.

race two, too little numbers in the field, will be supporting the ultra consistent sand horse, titan bliss, on the back of a eleven length win in a similar distance race two weeks ago. next will be el marroqui with geroudis on board. it seems like finally geroudis is back on form. as for p gatt, he came to kranji with a big reputation but is becoming a major flop after winning nothing for weeks despite getting the ride from potential winner horses.... good luck mate!

for the third race, my pal, mike had innocently selected yaakeen, which to me, is not a bad choice, somemore with waddell on board. sargasso has always been around the top three, so not surprising, i will put it into my FT selection. as for the third horse, it should be a tie between montoya, drive straight in and road house. p gatt on gutsy warrior may just finished fourth.

race four is the one with many contenders, so i will skip.

race five is another fibresand event with hommono standing out from the rest. with patton, i should see the chance as very good. truly bold is a horse that punter's way and tnp mentioned cannot be ignored in a fibresand event, so it will be included in my exotic bet (ha ha ha, i'm actually using the term "exotic", just like steve and max on track talk, ha ha ha). both bright wonder and smiliing forever have shown potential, and it will be wise to include them.

the sixth race in the day's program. no doubt it will be fifth general to grab the honour. will be trying for a upset in beasley (my gal's favourite jockey).

vorster to do a back to back in race seven!

and the last event of the day...very tired olredi...so maybe just a token bet on keegan and mirage.
